Subject

Medalta is a microbiome science company built around two product lines — Biomie, an everyday OTC synbiotic range covering Daily, SOS and Kids, and Pro Biomie, a clinic-channel line of formulations like Inflomega aimed at practitioners rather than shoppers. Before this project the company had no website at all: no way to explain the science, list a single product, or let a distributor or clinician get in touch. We designed and built the whole platform from scratch — a company homepage, a dedicated flow for each product line, a detail page for every SKU, and a blog to keep publishing the science behind it after launch.

What have we done

  1. Designed and built the site from the ground up — there was no existing site to redesign, migrate, or carry content over from.
  2. Split the platform into two clear product lines: Biomie for everyday, OTC use (Daily, SOS, Kids), and Pro Biomie for clinic-channel formulations like Inflomega, pitched at practitioners rather than end consumers.
  3. Built an individual detail page for every product across both lines, each with its own inquiry form for distributors and clinicians.
  4. Added a company section covering Medalta's history, lab and bacteria-first approach, backed by a live numbers block — 120+ characterised strains, 6 ongoing projects, 3.2M doses produced, 8 markets.
  5. Built a blog for ongoing, science-backed content, plus dedicated partner and "where we are" pages tracking distribution across 14 markets.
  6. Shipped all 7 pages, from design to launch, in 2 months with a two-person team.

Task

There was no existing site to build on — just two product lines, a genuinely technical scientific story, and two very different readers of the same brand: everyday consumers deciding whether to try Biomie, and clinicians weighing whether to recommend a Pro Biomie formulation like Inflomega to their patients. The site had to hold both without talking down to either, and it had to launch inside a two-month, two-person timeline.

Solution

We split the story cleanly: one homepage that introduces the whole platform, a dedicated flow for each product line, a detail page for every product with its own inquiry form, and a company section that puts the actual research — strain counts, ongoing projects, markets served — in front of both audiences instead of burying it in a PDF.

Every product page carries its own detail view, ingredient and dosage breakdown, and an inquiry form built to work exactly the same way on mobile as it does on desktop — whether a distributor is filling it out from a laptop or a clinician from their phone between patients.

From the science behind the product to the blog, the partner programme, the markets map and the contact page, the same dark, clinical design system carries through every page — so the site reads as one platform built on one story, not seven pages stitched together.
